Position Title – Quality Control Inspector (QCI)

Reports to Quality Control Coordinator, Quality Control Supervisor, Quality Control Manager

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

The Quality Control Inspector is responsible for:

• Examines & inspects containers, materials, and products to ensure specifications are met 

• Weigh, measure and count products and materials 

• Document product, packaging and other information on detailed forms 

• Examine/ Compare inspection data with receiving to ensure accurate quantities & sizes 

• Report any discrepancies 

• Take photos and prepare quality reports 

• Communicate with Quality Coordinator or Supervisor for day to day inspection priority 

• Communicate / Report damages, shortages and any non-conformance to the QC Coordinator, QC Supervisor, or QAQC Manager 

• Complete other duties as requested by QC Coordinator, QC Supervisor, or QC Manager 

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Quality Control Inspectors are required to have:

• Communication

  • Able to communicate effectively (written and spoken) in English 

  • Able to communicate issues or concerns to leads, coordinators, supervisors & managers 

• Able to conduct basic math calculations 

• Experience with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook) 

• Knowledge of Famous is considered an asset 

• Able to work independently or on a team 

• Able to work with limited supervision 

• Have a positive attitude 

 

Physical Requirements:

• Able to work in a fast paced environment 

• Able to stand for extended periods of time 

• Capable of lifting up to 30lbs 

• Work in a temperature controlled environment (Approx. 45-55 degrees F) 

• Work 6 days per week, 40-50 hours per week
