Custodian

Reports to Team Leader

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Dusting furniture, desks, chairs, tables, filing cabinets, bookcases, and shelves.

• Dusting and disinfecting phones.

• Vacuuming entry rugs.

• Cleaning and sanitizing drinking fountains and water dispensing systems.

• Cleaning high-touched surfaces, which include doorknobs, light switches, desks (if cleared), touch screens on photo copiers, faucets, cabinet handles, and stair rails.

• Cleaning floors, glass, and the walls, as needed.

• Emptying all trash containers, refilling soap and sanitized dispensers, and replenishing toilet paper.

• Ensuring all furniture and items are placed back in the original position.

• Reporting maintenance concerns to the appropriate parties.

Weekly, the Custodian is responsible for:

​

• Washing desks, if cleared.

• Cleaning all glass.

• Sweeping, vacuuming, and washing floors.

​

Monthly, the Custodian is responsible for:

​

• Dusting corners, vents, shelving, lights, etc. with a dust wand.

• Cleaning behind furniture.

• Adhering to the locking down, setting the security alarm when you are the last to leave the facility.

Requirements:

​

Must be reliable, have consistent attendance and essential function to perform the work of a Custodian. You are expected to be punctual and dependable in order to meet the needs of the company. Your attendance and reliability are important factors in evaluating individual performance and continued employment.
