Using the same innovative, shelf-life extending technology that removed plastic from our English Cucumbers. Apeel’s technology works to extend the life of produce with an edible, plant-based coating that keeps moisture in and oxygen out, ultimately preventing food waste.
Mini Cucumbers are often discarded due to moisture loss. Their small size and thin peels can spoil at a faster than ideal rate inside the consumer’s fridge. Once they receive the Apeel protection however, all that goodness gets locked in for longer, protecting the cucumber and creating a more sustainable food cycle!

How Apeel-protection works:
Apeel is a layer of protection made from plant-derived materials - lipids and glycerolipids - that exist in the peels, seeds, and pulp of all the fruits and vegetables we already eat. Apeel's non-GMO, plant-based protection locks moisture in and slows oxidation which keeps cucumbers fresh without wasteful single-use plastic.
